Kabiosile is a nonprofit organization dedicated to documenting the traditions of Santería in Cuba. They came to us seeking a website that would allow them to promote their CDs and DVDs outside of Cuba and to present a variety of educational materials on Santería.
The website is presented in both English and Spanish. (ShooFlyDesign did not produce the translation, although we do speak some Spanish.) Given recordings from Kabiosile, we created the video and audio clips that are available for download from the site.
This website was redesigned in 2006, and is now based on Drupal, a content management system we like. This provides Kabiosile with complete editing capabilities on the site without any intervention from us.
I found ShooFlyDesign through the HostBaby service, by checking out the web sites of every designer who received 7 stars or more. ShooFlyDesign’s were the only sites whose media really streamed (critical for a music site!). Come to find out the ShooFlyDesigners hand code everything, with the result that pages (and particularly media and graphics) load faster and cleaner. Joe and Lisa are responsive, highly professional, and a joy to work with. I get nothing but compliments on our web site as a result of their fine work.
